Portobello Ristorante is located in the restored lobby of the old Stuyvesant Hotel. When renovations finished in 1993, this project received numerous architectural and revitalization awards. The casual elegance of this once famous hotel lives on today in the relaxed yet classy atmosphere of Portobello. Owner and host Mike Spada was practically born into the restaurant business. His family owned and operated the Walnut Grove, a Kingston icon that hosted thousands of weddings and banquets, and played host to even more people seeking upscale entertainment each weekend. But Portobello isn't just about history, it's about the food!
Our specialty is Italian cuisine; north and south, traditional and contemporary, and everything in between. All meals are prepared fresh, a difference we're sure you'll taste. We have earned a reputation as one of the finest Italian restaurants in the Hudson Valley. But the finest Italian dining in Kingston and Ulster County is only part of the story...
We proudly boast the best prime aged beef in Ulster County and the Hudson Valley. The quality of our cuts and the expertise in preparation is unsurpassed by any steakhouse in Ulster County or steakhouse in the Hudson Valley. Our succulent lobster tails will rival any seafood restaurants in the Hudson Valley. Our veal, chops, and other seafood dishes are of the same high quality, and preparation is our labor of love.
Have a drink with friends at the bar, enjoy an intimate dinner for two, or bring the entire family. Dress up or come casually neat. You really can have it all at Portobello Ristorante in historic Uptown Kingston. |
